Comfortable Stay
Clean comfortable and accessible hotel, decent breakfast and efficient service. Though a little away from Venice, it has good connectivity and if you plan well, Venice is around 25 minutes away. The breakfast is good and wi fi is free.

Would have expected a Platinum treatment
Let´s start from my bad mood. I arrived at 3 am in the morning due to a flight diverted to Bologna for technical reasons instead of the planned destination (Venice). Having said this I arrived at 3 am, got my standard room on the 8th Floor with no Free water, welcome or request to make my short stay a little more pleasant as I would have expected. By the way it was also my Birthday!

We could hide behind the excuse that the hotel was almost fully booked and we could not reserve you the room upgrade, however we want to take this opportunity to apologize for the lack of special welcome we failed to reserve you as Platinum Customer, compounded by the fact that it was also your birthday. It has been a lesson for me and my team that we will remember from now on. In the hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future I wish you our best regards.

Perfect stay
I enjoyed my stay in novotel. The staff are helpfull and the breakfast is fabulous. Wifi is free and there are free computers to use as well. Having xbox in the reception was a surprise to the children.

In all our hotels you can find x-box, dedicated areas for kids, external swimming pool, gadgets and dedicated Menues for children at our NRestaurant. Too Much Emphasis On Groups
I agree with other reviews about it being quite far for visits to Venice, this was not my case however as I was visiting relatives in Mestre. First of all 6 euros for overnight parking? A bit over the top, there is some free parking available when you can find a space, otherwise you can park for free at the back of the hotel with quite a long walk back to reception. Which brings me to my main bugbear, while I agree that groups are good business but not to the detriment of individual guests, I happened to return one evening when a large group was checking in and had a 15 min wait to use the elevator, again the next morning when I went down to breakfast the restaurant was full with the departing group, devouring all they could with the staff not being able to keep up with replenishments, needless to say another 15 mins were wasted waiting for a place to sit, I have visited many hotels during my career and the normal practice was to place groups in another room and not in the main restaurant, perhaps a few lessons can be learned here. More thought for the individual guest please.

Value for money
Even when hotel location is not the best for visiting Venezia, its proximity to a bus station and the train makes it a good option when you want to see Venezia and its surroundings. The bed as in all Accor hotels is great and the room was spacious and very clean. Breakfasts are great and the staff was always helpful and friendly
